Case Study  ·  B2B SaaS  ·  IoT Connectivity

Rebuilding the demo booking page for a global IoT connectivity SaaS.

A long-form walkthrough of how we redesigned, rebuilt, and continuously A/B tested a B2B SaaS landing page in Unbounce and what we now treat as defaults on every page we ship.

01 · The Client

A global IoT connectivity SaaS serving 1,000+ enterprises.

They sell cellular IoT SIM cards and flexible data plans that let enterprises connect deployed devices (fleet vehicles, smart meters, medical monitors) across 150+ countries on a single global network.

Their buyers aren't marketing managers. They're IoT product leads, hardware engineering managers, and connectivity architects. Technical, skeptical, and trained to spot fluff.

02 · The Challenge

Four problems on the original page, each one bleeding budget on paid traffic.

"Connect any device, anywhere"
Generic headline · no vertical, no product
No product shown in hero
01

Generic, vertical-blind messaging

"Connect any device, anywhere": technically true, persuasively useless.

02

Trust signals scattered

Customer logos, SLA, certifications dotted around accidentally.

03

Hero didn't show the product

Engineering buyers want to see the SIM card before trusting the pitch.

04

Form friction

Long lead-capture form asking for everything before giving anything.

03 · Our Strategy

Before opening Unbounce: three things.

Competitor teardown

Tore apart every major IoT connectivity competitor (Truphone, 1NCE, Soracom, EMnify). Pattern: jargon first, social proof buried, no vertical fit.

01

Messaging audit

Five-second test with 3 personas. Two couldn't say what the company sold. The third said "SIM cards?" with a question mark. Hero wasn't doing its job.

02

Conversion hypothesis

Wrote in one sentence what the page must do in 8 seconds: trust + relief + vertical fit + clear next step. That sentence became the brief.

03
Within eight seconds of landing, a vertical buyer should know what we sell, why we're different, who already trusts us, and exactly what to do next.
The conversion hypothesis that became the brief
04 · Design Decisions

Three numbers, no fluff, placed on a dark band to interrupt the scroll.

We isolated the strongest trust signals on a high-contrast band, impossible to scroll past. The 99.995% uptime does most of the heavy lifting. That's a credible enterprise SLA, not marketing rounding.

04 · Design Decisions

Show the product, earn the right to pitch.

After outcomes, we showed the actual portal: anomaly feed, active SIM counter, traffic charts. This is where the technical buyer mentally checks "can I actually use this?"

Buyers buy what they can see: abstract benefits don't ship demos.

04 · Design Decisions

Three verticals, three pages, each one its own.

A healthcare buyer and a fleet manager care about completely different failure modes. We built dedicated URLs per vertical, each with a matched hero, testimonial, and use case section. These consistently outperform the generic page on paid campaigns.

Want a landing page that earns its traffic , not just receives it?

This is exactly the kind of conversion-focused rebuild we ship for B2B SaaS and technical buyers. If you're spending on paid and the page isn't pulling its weight, we should talk.

05 · The Build

Built for speed of iteration: Unbounce + HubSpot + GTM.

Unbounce gives the fastest test-iterate-deploy loop on a page that lives or dies by ongoing A/B testing, that's the right trade. HubSpot form embedded natively (preserves validation, UTM capture, lead routing). GTM fires events on every meaningful interaction, including form starts, not just submits.

06 · The Part That Never Ends

A launch is a hypothesis. The next twelve months are the answer.

Most case studies end at launch. This page doesn't, because we treat it as a living asset: at least one structured A/B test every 4 to 6 weeks, 95% confidence, 200+ conversions per variant.

The page now serves as the master template for vertical-specific spin-offs, and the marketing team can point new ad creatives at it with confidence.

08 · What We Now Treat As Defaults

Five rules for every B2B SaaS landing page.

Show the product in the hero.
Even abstract SaaS has a UI or artifact. Show it. Buyers buy what they can see.
Name the verticals you serve.
Generic pages convert generically. Vertical-specific pages convert specifically.
Trust signals belong above the fold.
Not in a logo strip 60% down. Bouncers should still leave having seen who trusts you.
Form length matches lead quality goals.
Test it. Shorter isn't always better in enterprise B2B.
Treat the page as a living asset.
A launched page untested in six months has already decayed by month three.

A long-form case study built to rank and to convert.

The case study itself is engineered for organic search (~2,800 words, FAQ schema, keyword-mapped headings, internal links) and ends with a CTA that converts agency-shopping SaaS marketers into discovery calls.
